This week, Kumi Hospital hosted three physicians from the USA --- Rusty Chavey, Erick Allen, and Blak Vanderlan. Dr. Chavey is a Family Physician, Dr. Allen is an anesthesiologist, and Dr. Vanderlan is a trauma surgeon. The team is part of an ongoing relationship between Kumi Hospital and the University of Michigan in an effort to transform Kumi into an orthopedic and rehabilitation center of excellence.

Four Students from University of Michigan Namely Amy Wong,Carlos Thimann,Jaclyn Yip,Selvan Saravanan arrived in Kumi Hospital on the 16th October.They are to work on Human resource matters as it relates to morale,motivation,and quality of patient care.
They worked closely with the Human resource manager Mr Joseph odongo and interveiwed many staff members,with a focus on the nursing staff.They will be in Kumi upto Oct 31st

A team of Plastic Surgeons headed by MR.Viva from interplast U.K has concluded a two week working visit to Kumi in which they screened over one hundred patients and 66 patients with cleft lips and palates, post burns contructures benefited from surgery.
